No one aged more gracefully on screen than Walter Pidgeon. From leading man to supporting player he starred opposite the top actresses from the 30s to the 60s.
And as an older man he portrayed Flo Ziegfeld in Funny Girl.
In all, nearly 140 movie credits over more than half a century. A native of Eastern Canada, he died in California in 1984, at the age of 87.
