George Sanders encouraged his (older) brother, Tom Conway, to join him in Hollywood. But did most stars want their siblings as competitors?
Hello, Everybody. Your classic movie guys, Joe Morella and Frank Segers (not brothers, except in our love of old films and film stars), here to quiz you again.
Do you recognize the duos pictured above and below? Who are they?
And who is the elder brother?
And who made it to the silver screen first.
The answers on Monday.
The duo below? No. It looks like the one with the scarf or neckerchief is known for westerns- a genre in which I am not as well-versed as , say, vibrant musicals and fashion show dramas.
The duo at the top are James Arness (at the very top) and his younger brother, Peter Graves (on the right). Without Googling anything, I’m guessing Peter made it to the movies first simply because I’ve seen him in movies. Arness is known almost exclusively for TV; I don’t know that he ever made a film.
Cheers,
Java
He did make films, and before Peter. Check the blog on Monday, April 22.
Thanks for you comment.
