During World War II many stars from war torn and occupied Europe took refuge in Hollywood. One was the French beauty pictured above.

Our late pal Donald Gordon snapped this photo of her in the mid Forties. (Know her?) It’s another never before seen picture we’re releasing from Donald’s private collection.

Some hints:  Our mystery actress played a resistance heroine in 1942’s Joan of Paris.  She played opposite Frank Sinatra and sang in 1943’s Higher and Higher. In 1944’s Passage To Marseilles, she received top billing along with Humphrey Bogart and Claude Rains.
